Income
- W-2s from all employers that you/your spouse or children worked during the year
- 1099-INT from banks for the interest income from banks or credit unions
- 1099-DIV for dividends received from Banks, credit unions or brokers
- 1099-B: If you sold or purchased any stocks during the year
- 1099-G: if you received unemployment compensation during the year
- 1099-S: If you received social security during the year
- Any other tax document related to your income
Dependents
- Existing clients – name, social security number and date of birth of new dependent/s. Bring social security card/s with you at the time of appointment.
- New Clients: name, social security number and date of birth of all dependents. Bring social security card/s with you at the time of appointment. Need date of birth of you and your spouse (if married).
Homeowners
- Form 1098: Mortgage statements from all lenders for the interest paid
- Escrow closing statements, if you refinanced, purchased or sold your house
- Property tax bills and checks to show how much property tax you paid
- DMV fees paid for the vehicles that you own
- If you purchased a new vehicle during the year, bring a copy of the bill of sale
Landlords
- Year-end statement of income and expenses from property management company
- Rental income information – 1099-Misc if you received any
- List of expenses for the property – Separate major improvements from regular expenses. Expenses may include repairs and insurance etc. If you own multiple properties, please list expenses of each property on a separate page.
- Form 1098: Mortgage statement from all lenders for the interest paid
- Escrow closing statement if you refinanced, purchased or sold your property
- Property tax bills and checks to show how much property tax you paid
